“What if I’ve tried everything before?”

Many people who seek hypnotherapy have already tried other methods. Smoking is often more emotional and subconscious than people realise.

“Will I still be in control?”

Yes. You are aware and in control the entire time. Hypnotherapy is simply a relaxed, focused state.

Is Hypnotherapy Safe?

Yes. Hypnotherapy is a safe, natural and relaxing process. You remain aware and in control throughout the session. You cannot get stuck in hypnosis, and you cannot be hypnotised to do anything you don’t want to do.

What Does Hypnosis Feel Like?

Many people describe hypnosis as feeling deeply relaxed, calm and focused, however hypnosis is a subjective experience and everyone will experience hypnosis in a unique way, and it may even feel different from session to session. Some people report feeling light and floaty, others will say they felt really heavy, like they just didn’t want to move, others say they feel like they are “all mind”. Some people find that they drift in and out, others feel like they are intensely focused on the words they are hearing, some people feel like they’re just sitting there, with their eyes closed listening to what is being said. There is no right or wrong way to experience hypnosis, and the actual experience that a person has in terms of how it feels doesn’t define whether the experience will be more or less effective.

What if I can’t be hypnotised?

Hypnosis is a natural state that all humans go in and out of every day. Daydreaming, imagining, visualising, intent focus, these are all states that corelate to a hypnotic state. While it is true that there are some people that go into hypnosis more easily than others, it is a myth that some people can’t be hypnotised, and well trained hypnotherapists are educated in a variety of methods in order to be able to help guide you into the right state to facilitate change.  

Do you offer after hours sessions?

Yes. I offer weekday evening sessions to accommodate for clients who cannot attend daytime sessions.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

I offer a single session approach with a really high success rate (above the industry standard, which is usually around 80% success rate).
All clients receive a second session, valid for 6 months to use if they feel the need to reinforce the quitting.

Can I claim on Medicare, NDIS or Private Health?

As a clinical Level member of the Australian Hypnotherapists Association my services are recognised by many Private Health Funds. Rebates offered will vary from fund to fund and will depend upon your individual fund and policy. Unfortunately hypnotherapy is not currently covered by Medicare or NDIS funding.

Is there a money back guarantee?

As with any type of therapy, there is no guarantee, and it is unethical for any therapist to offer this. What I do offer is a promise to each and every client that I will go above and beyond to help them achieve their desired outcome. Your success is my success, so seeing you become free of the smoking habit is my ultimate goal.

Do Online Sessions Really Work?

Absolutely. Online hypnotherapy sessions are equally as effective as in person sessions and in fact can be more effective, as clients are usually more relaxed their own homes than they may be in a clinical setting. It’s a bit like a home ground advantage in football. In an unfamiliar clinical setting you may feel more on edge, and in response to this you may experience a slight subconscious guard, while at home you feel naturally safe and in control, and it allows you to fully engage with the experience. The convenience of not having to drive to or from sessions and the ability to control things in your environment like volume, lighting and temperature to create comfort are added benefits. It also means you can use headphones, which creates a really immersive experience. My services are offered Australia wide and beyond.
